After going to the Jurlique spa and being treated to their One Hour Signature Facial (read here), I have been sent quite a few different products from their range to try. I have been so impressed with the quality of everything I’ve been using that I wanted to share my favorites with you. Plus I will be reviewing a few extra items that I have recently bought myself. You know that a skincare brand’s products are amazing when trying the PR samples spurs you on to buy even more. In this post I will be reviewing both products that I have bought myself and products I was sent by PR.
I purchased this myself after being so impressed with the Jurlique Rose Hand Cream I was gifted by PR. This product is a dream come true for me because jasmine is my favourite floral scent in the world! For me, using this is like reliving my favourite summer nights when I can smell jasmine in the air. The cream has a thick, rich, velvety consistency and you only need a minuscule amount to do the job. I massage the cream in well using circular motions so that it fully absorbs into my hands. My skin is left feeling extremely soft and hydrated. It also nourishes my cuticles too, so there’s no need buy cuticle cream. For those interested in buying this I would say to be mindful of how much you use. If you dispense too much product it won’t absorb properly and your hands will feel a little sticky and greasy.
This is another product I purchased. The reason being, I needed something to fade my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I apply a small amount to areas of pigmentation (both morning and night) after spritzing my face with the rosewater mist (reviewed here). Then I let it completely dry before continuing the rest of my skincare routine. I’ve tried this product for 6 weeks now and the results are mixed. It’s been great for fading recent sunspots acquired over last summer. For example, I had a huge brown sunspot on my neck that was the size of a thumbnail and now it’s almost gone. But it has only moderately helped to fade acne pigmentation. On another positive note, it has helped with dark circles amazingly. As for dark brown spots I’ve had for many years it hasn’t done anything. Maybe it needs more time (or laser treatment)!
If I wasn’t sent this by PR I would never have discovered this amazing product! It’s one of those skincare items that you probably wouldn’t look at twice when you’re deciding on what’s absolutely necessary for your skincare routine. I mean what even is a water essence, right? Well it’s now something I can’t live without. It’s like a more potent version of a toner that adds a super hydration boost to the skin. Also as a bonus, it helps you to get more out of your serum by boosting how deeply it penetrates the skin. What’s not to love? After cleansing and applying the Jurlique Rosewater mist, I dispense a small amount of the Activating Water Essence to the palm of my hand and gently press it into my face. It absorbs super quickly and leaves a slightly sticky feeling, which goes away once serum and moisturizer are applied. The consistency is like water and product smells herbaceous in quite a pleasant way. While this isn’t totally necessary for your skincare routine in the way that sunscreen or moisturizer might be, it does help you to get the most out of your products. I am a quarter of the way through the bottle and when it runs out I definitely plan on buying more.
This little pot of gold has become a staple for me whenever I have a breakout. It definitely speeds up the healing process and helps to accelerate the fading of post-inflammatory pigmentation. The consistency is beautiful and the product smells great! It soaks into my face perfectly and helps give me such a dewy and beautiful complexion that makes me feel confident to leave the house without make-up. I use this serum both morning and night after applying the activating water essence. With long-term use it’s helped to give me a brighter and clearer complexion. I know this serum is pretty expensive, but it’s worth every drop!
This is the type of product I would buy based on the smell alone! The fragrance is irresistible. I personally use this as a moisturizer after applying the serum. Although this may be different to what you’re used to, this is recommended by Jurlique on their website. With application, you only need a few drops pressed into the face. So a little goes a long way. After I press the product in, it leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished. Another plus is that there is no greasy aftermath like other facial orders I’ve tried. The formulation locks in my skin’s moisture all day and night and completes my desire for a dewy complexion. It’s the best!
After my success using the Purely White Spot Treatment for my dark circles, my conscience got the better of me. So I decided to buy the eye cream. The reason I did this is because I became paranoid of developing milia. They’re these tiny white bumps that can occur from using the wrong products around the delicate skin of the eye area. While I find this eye cream extremely nourishing, it doesn’t brighten dark circles as well as the spot treatment. Perhaps the formulation is much gentler and it takes a long-term approach to work. Despite this I still loving the hydration boost it’s giving me in winter.
What can I say! This is hands down the best clay mask I’ve used. I’ve tried others with similar ingredients (e.g. the detoxifying clay mask from Enbacci) but this Jurlique one still distinguishes itself from the rest. While this is a clay mask, the nourishing additions of herbal extracts and essential oils leave my skin feeling nourished instead of stripped of their natural oils. The consistency is granular so it also helps to exfoliate my skin when I gently remove it. I know with some clay masks I’ve used in the past, my skin is left feeling tight and dry afterwards. That’s never good, especially in winter. The Jurlique one never does this. My skin is left feeling so soft and glowing.
